for this packaging, the client requested a monochrome version of the logo to maintain a clean, minimalist look that would complement the café’s bauhaus and midcentury-inspired interiors. the simplicity of the print highlights the logo’s thoughtful details; the zigzag lines inspired by sagada weaves and the keyhole-shaped “a” symbolizing discovery, allowing the story behind tuklas to stand out subtly with every cup served.
for this packaging project, i reimagined sky dye, the semi-permanent hair color line by colourette cosmetics. colourette is a filipina-owned beauty brand that champions inclusivity, self-expression, and makeup that works for everyone. their products are multi-use, beginner-friendly, and proudly local, and that energy was something i wanted to reflect in the redesign.
sky dye is fun, bold, and nourishing, a creamy, vegan formula that delivers vibrant color without damage. so for this repackaging, the goal was to match that vibe: something expressive, approachable, and unapologetically loud (in the best way).
i used a font called “stinky kitty” for the logo — it had just the right mix of quirky and confident. the rest of the layout was built in adobe illustrator, with finishing touches and textures done in photoshop. i leaned into color-blocking, playful icons, and clear labels to make the product feel both exciting and easy to use.
this was a college assignment, but i treated it like a real brief — thinking about how the box would look on a shelf, how the shade name would stand out, and how it could speak to colourette’s community of fearless self-expressers.
just like the dye itself, the final design is bright, bold, and made to stand out.
