a mixed media series exploring how stray cats make homes out of what we throw away. using scanography — or scanner photography. i scanned objects i found like bottle caps, torn packaging, and other street litter — and layering it with digital art, each piece captures scenes where trash becomes shelter, landscape, or playground.
the title the meaning of nothing reflects how we often see trash as meaningless — something to be stepped over, ignored, or discarded. but for strays, “nothing” is everything. it’s warmth, survival, even a sense of place. inspired by the game stray and the streets of calamba, this series asks us to reconsider what we overlook. because in every piece of trash, there’s a story — and a life quietly shaped by it.
